Bio:
Jesse Lambert was born in Hudson, NY in 1972. He grew up in rural New Hampshire and New York City. Jesse received a BFA from Cooper Union in 1994 and an MFA in Painting from Hunter College in 1998. In the summer of 1993 he attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.

Jesse has had one-person shows at Matter Gallery in Portland, Maine, at Miller Block Gallery in Boston and at the Roger Smith Gallery in New York City. Selected group show venues include the Joseloff Gallery in Hartford, Connecticut, eyewash@SupremeTrading in Brooklyn, Klaus Von Nichtssagend Gallery in Brooklyn, White Columns in New York City, the Boston Center for the Arts, Miller Block Gallery in Boston, and the Warren Robbins Art Gallery of the University of Michigan.

He has attended residencies at the Vermont Studio School in Johnson, Vermont and the Armenian Center for Contemporary Experimental Art in Yerevan, Armenia.

Jesse's exhibitions have been reviewed on artnet.com, in the The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Brooklyn Rail, The Yale Daily News and The Aravot Daily, Yerevan, Armenia. He has been featured in the march 2001 edition of New American Paintings #32 and on James Wagner's blog.

He currently lives in Jackson Heights, NY and works in Long Island City, NY.
